Integrative Care

Whether your horse is a competitive athlete, a trusted working partner, or a loyal trail companion, our goal is the same—to keep them healthy, sound, and thriving. We value a whole-body approach to equine wellness and mobility, taking into account your horse’s specific circumstances and needs.

We begin by identifying pain triggers, and breaking the pain cycle so that the soft tissues of the body can heal, engage, and form new movement patterns.

As a prey animal, horses often have chronic “fight or flight” patterns deeply embedded in their nervous systems. By removing interference from the body’s major communication pathways with chiropractic adjustments and acupuncture sessions, a horse’s body can then seek homeostasis.

From there, postural correction- focusing on alignment, core stability, and a strong base (correct trimming and shoeing). Our patient-centered rehabilitation plans focus on your horse’s unique needs with the goal of improving stability, flexibility, and proprioception to help prevent injury.

This is a process that usually involves with other  industry professionals-whether that is your farrier for changes in shoeing or trimming needs, reviewing current or past imaging & diagnostics from your regular veterinarian, discussing fitness plans and exercises with your trainer, or ensuring nutrition is optimized for maximal healing and overall wellbeing. We value the role that every professional plays in the horse industry and are happy to work alongside them to help your horse.

Our goal will always be to treat the root problem, and not just mask the clinical symptoms. This often takes a bit of time, patience, and consistency- we are with you every step of the way.

Common Questions & Information

FAQ

We know caring for your horses comes with a lot of questions, especially when it comes to health, wellness, and end-of-life decisions. Here are a few of the most common things clients ask us about mobile veterinary care and how our services work.

Are you a general practice/emergency equine vet?

At this time, we focus specifically on rehabilitation and integrative sports medicine services. We try to make ourselves available to our current clients for urgent matters, but we are not set up to provide 24/7 emergency care.

Can you float my horse’s teeth?

Yes, we do provide routine dental floats! A balanced mouth is crucial for a horse’s digestion, alignment and overall wellbeing.
