About Trailside Mobile Veterinary

Trailside Vet provides compassionate mobile veterinary care to animals throughout the Wasatch Back of Utah. Avoid the stress and anxiety of another car ride to the clinic and let us come to you. Whether that is in your home or barn, at a park, or on the side of a trail—we want to see your pet where they are most comfortable and relaxed. That way, you can focus on maintaining the trust and bond that you already have with your pet, and leave the traveling to us!

We opened Trailside Veterinary Services in 2020 as a husband & wife team when a local need for in-home veterinary care became apparent. Jamie Berger joined our team in 2023 and has helped us streamline our practice, allowing us to help even more pets!

We believe in the importance of the human-animal bond, and seek to provide compassionate medical care for pets and horses where they feel most at ease, alongside the people who love them most.

Services we offer include:

  • Preventative care

  • Wellness exams

  • Lameness/orthopedic diagnostics

  • Pain management

  • Acupuncture & chiropractic adjustments

  • Integrative sports medicine & rehabilitation

  • Physical therapy plans & sessions

  • Hospice & compassionate end-of-life care

Our staff is passionate about veterinary medicine and loves animals of all shapes and sizes. We will treat your pets like one of our own!

Meet the Team

Your Mobile Vet Care Team

Amanda Petty, DVM, cVMA, cAC

Dr. Amanda was born and raised on the Front Range of Colorado. She grew up riding horses and participating in local 4H shows. Her professional areas of interest include equine & canine sports medicine and rehabilitation, postural strength & stability, and integrative care with an emphasis on acupuncture and chiropractic medicine.

She received her DVM degree in 2014 from Colorado State University and subsequently interned with a mobile equine surgeon & lameness veterinarian. She then spent 10 years as Herd Veterinarian for a large ranch in northern Utah where she was able to develop a close relationship with her patients, deepen her understanding of equine behavior, and incorporate natural horsemanship skills into her practice.

Dr. Amanda completed a certification in Veterinary Acupuncture (large and small animal) from Curacore in 2018, and earned her certificate in Animal Chiropractic from Animal Chiropractic Education Source (A.C.E.S.) in 2023. Since then, she has been integrating these modalities into her practice and loves watching her patients thrive!

When she isn’t out on the farm or making house calls, Dr. Amanda can be found riding her horse and enjoying the outdoors with her family & dogs.
